Hi! My name is Taylor Edens.
I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with my Bachelor's degree in General Sciences (biochem focus) and a minor in Secondary Education. I graduated with my Master's degree in Chemistry Education from Western Governor's University. I have taught chemistry of all levels at public high schools for 6 years now.Teaching chemistry is my passion and I will do whatever it takes to help you or your child truly understand chemistry. In my sessions, I will frequently ask questions to gauge where student understanding and help them connect concepts, ensuring that they truly grasp why an answer is correct.My students know they can interrupt at any time to ask questions, seek clarification, or make comments. My lessons are designed to meet the student where they are, build their confidence, enhance their understanding of chemistry, and improve their grades and scores.After every lesson, I provide students with all the notes we covered, along any additional resources. Lessons can also be recorded via my Google Meet premium plan and recordings can be sent upon request by the parent or student. Over the years, I have accumulated a wealth of resources and love sharing them to assist students as they continue to practice chemistry. I provide answer keys for all resources so that students to ensure students are confident in their answers.These lessons are meant for middle, high school, or college students who need extra support with any chemistry topic. I tutor all levels of high school chemistry, introductory college chemistry, and Gen Chemistry 1 and 2
Tutoring Rates
For students in the US, payments can be made at the conclusion of the lesson via Venmo or PayPal. Payment details will be shared upon confirmation of first lesson.Regular Rate: $90/hourFREE zero-commitment 15 min video call available for first time students to ensure we are a good fit and to answer any questions you may have.All lessons are conducted through Google Meet, and the link will be sent upon confirmation of our first lesson. We will use the same Google Meet for all lessons. Recording and sending of the lesson is available upon request of the student or parent.During lessons, I utilize a document camera so that students can see and visualize the steps and process of every problem that we tackle. I use colors, highlighters, drawings, and more to keep students engaged, notes organized, and clear content. A PDF of the notes taken during our lesson can also be sent to the student afterward.

There is flexibility in times and days if discussed ahead of time.I will respond to all e-mails within 24 hours! I look forward to talking with you more.While I do not charge a cancellation fee, please provide at least a 24 hour notice for cancellations.
